Anantnag: A youth was killed during a scuffle over some land dispute in Vailoo area of Kokarnag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday morning, officials said.
Sources said that members of two families had a confrontation in early morning hours over a piece of land near DPS Vailoo and during the scuffle a youth was killed.
Sources identified the deceased as Ishfaq Ahmad, son of Ghulam Nabi Sheikh of Gohan Vailoo.
Sources said that a police party reached the spot and took the body into its possession. Some arrests were also made.
