Srinagar: Two paramilitary Sashastra Suraksha Bal (SSB) personnels were killed in a fratricidal incident in Kulgam district of south Kashmir on Monday evening.
Reports reaching here said that there was some altercation among troopers of 49 battalion of the SSB that subsequently led to incident in which two persons were killed.
Sources said that in the SSB camp in Kulgam near court complex, the sentry after some argument with a senior officer opened fired killing the officer after which he shot himself with his service rifle.
A senior police officer confirmed the incident and said that investigation has been launched into the incident. The deceased have been identified as Sandeep and Himmant.
