Ensure proper functioning of non-Covid health institutions immediately: Div Com to DCs

SRINAGAR: In view of current COVID-19 Pandemic situation, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole today directed all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) through video conferncing to ensure proper functioning of all non-Covid health institutions immediately.

The Divisional Commissioner directed all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to ensure that all non-Covid health institutions start their activities in every district immediately. He directed then to ensure normal functioning non-Covid hospitals, health centers, private hospitals, Dental and other private health institutions at an earliest so that non-Covid patients do not face any difficulty.

DCs were asked to rope in Doctors Association for talk shows on district cable channels regarding mental stress, diabetes, fatigue, immunity boosting through home remedies especially during the month of Ramzaan and other health related issues for the general public.

Pole also directed DCs to coordinate with NGOs in their respective districts and facilitate them for hassle free distribution of essential among the needy. The DC’s were further directed to depute nodal officer with them, who will inventorise their distribution activities. They were also to publicize NGO activity in all formats of media.
