Mohit Bhan urges UT admin to release cash assistance, ration to migrants
Srinagar People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Leader Mohit Bhan has urged the Jammu and Kashmir UT administration to release cash assistance and advance ration of two months to the migrants in view of Coronavirus.
In a statement issued here, Bhan said: “I am urging the administration to release cash assistance and ration of 2 months in advance to mitigate the sufferings of migrants.”
He further added that the Migrant employees putting up at various transit camps in Kashmir are facing issues which need immediate attention. “They must also be provided with masks and sanitizers.”
Migrants, mostly elderly, live in very close proximity at Jagti and Muthi, and the places need to be sanitized and sterilized. “The administration should provide the masks and sanitizers on urgent basis so to meet any eventuality.”
