7,917 pilgrims pay obeisance at Amarnath cave
Srinagar, Jul 31: On the 31st day of the ongoing Amarnathji Yatra, 7,917 pilgrims paid obeisance at the cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas Wednesday, officials said.
They said till date 3,39,687 pilgrims have had ‘darshan’ of the Shivling at the cave temple.
Meanwhile, one critically sick pilgrim identified as 38-years-old Devi M. wife of Meherman, of Hatisar Assam was evacuated by helicopter today from Sheshnag to Pahalgam hospital, on the direction of Governor Satya Pal Malik, they said.
In all 17 critically sick pilgrims have been air evacuated by the Shrine Board for immediate specialized treatment till date.
