Srinagar, Jul 21: A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a speedy two-wheeler at Warpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.

Reports said that a 55-year-old man identified as Ghulam Mohammad War, son of Ghulam Qadir War, a resident of Warpora received serious injuries after being hit by a two-wheeler.

The man was rushed to Sub-District Hospital Sopore where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

Police said a case has been registered and further investigations taken up.

A teenager was also killed in a road accident in Sindoo Shirmal area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district late Saturday evening.

Reports said that an oil tanker (TN 88Y 8732) hit a Scooty (JK13D-3510) in Sindoo Shirmal. The accident resulted in critical injuries to Scooty driver, 18-years-old Moonis Shabir, son of Shabir Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Gabberpora Hawal area of the district.

The injured person was shifted to District Hospital Shopian in critical condition where he succumbed to injuries.
