CEC LAHDC Leh meets Secy RDD

LEH, JULY 07: Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Gyal P Wangyal today held a meeting with the Secretary Rural Development Department, Sheetal Nanda at Leh today and demanded early filling up of various technical posts such as BDOs, Assistant Engineers, JEs, Section Officers and other technical staff in the department.

Executive Councilor Stanzin Phuntsog, Mumtaz Hussain, Konchok Stanzin and Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC, Leh Avny Lavasa and Director RDD Kashmir, Qazi Sarwar also present in the meeting.

Gyal Wangyal said that Leh is a very vast and scattered district and its developmental works are hugely suffering in absence of key technical officials with the RDD and the short working season in Ladakh adds further hindrance in the way of development. He sought the intervention of Secretary, RDD in posting of technical hands on all those vacant posts in the Department on top priority.

Sheetal Nanda gave assurance for posting of BDOs for Leh shortly and also assured to look into for filling up of other vacant posts which are crucial for Leh district to carry out the developmental works smoothly.

The meeting also discussed various issues related to State and Centrally sponsored schemes going on in Leh and the need for added funding flow for early completion of important nature of pending and ongoing projects under various schemes.
