Annual Nazool-e-Quran conference held at Qamaria MHSS Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May29: Qamaria Model Higher Secondary Educational Institute S aloora Ganderbal organi sed a one day Revelation of Quran (Nazool-e-Quran) conference here.

Number of students, clerics and people from different walks of life participated in the conference.

Prof (Dr.) Syed Abdul Majid Andrabi, Head Department of Arabic at Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora Kashmir was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof Andrabi delivered a detailed and enlightening lecture on the importance and relevance of the Quran in Modern world and described Quran as an everlasting solution to the human conflicts. He also lauded the institute for imparting modern and moral education to the students since several decades.

Students from various schools of the district spoke during the occasion.

The programme concluded with the felicitation of the participating students and first three position holders.

The first position was secured by Atif Ahmad Kambay, student Qamaria Model Higher Secondary School Saloora Ganderbal and Umer Mushtaq, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal.The Second position was secured by Mohammad Shahanawaz, student of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kangan and the third Position was bagged by Sahil Shafat Government Boys Higher Secondary School Kurhama, Ganderbal.

Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, Chairman Qamaria Muslim wakf Trust Saloora, Ganderbal and Ex.Chief Secretary, J& K in his presidential address stressed upon the students to follow the teachings of glorious Quran and Prophet Mohammad S.A.W. in letter and spirit. He also thanked the guests for their participation.

Principal of the School, Nazir Ahmad Kanth presented the vote of thanks.
