Apni Party elects new office-bearers in DH Pora, Zainapora

Srinagar: Apni Party on Saturday held organisational meetings in the DH Pora and Zainapora constituencies to elect office-bearers at the zonal and block levels as part of its efforts to strengthen the party structure at the grassroots.

The meetings were held under the supervision of the party’s returning officer, Abdul Majeed Padder.

According to a party statement, Abdul Hameed Dar was elected Zonal President for the DH Pora constituency, while Miss Shazia was elected President of the Women’s Wing for the constituency.

At the block level, Mohammad Ayoub Bhat was elected Block President for DH Pora, Ghulam Mohammad Malik, also known as Akbar, for DK Marg, Mohammad Altaf for Phaloo, and Tajamul Shafi Magray for Manzgam. Aijaz Ahmad Malik was elected Block President (Youth) for Manzgam.

In the Zainapora constituency of Shopian district, Mohammad Aslam Naik was elected Zonal President. Arif Ahmad Lone was elected Block President for Zainapora, Mushtaq Ahmed Thoker for Chitragam, Khurshid Ahmad for Imamsahib, Mohammad Yaqoob Padder for Harmain, Mohd Aslam Sheikh for Kaprin and Javid Ahmad Rather for Kangiuallar.

The party said the newly elected office-bearers would work to strengthen the organisation and improve coordination between the party and the people.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Majeed Padder said that organisational elections were an important part of maintaining a democratic environment within the party.

“The purpose of these elections is to strengthen the party at every level and ensure wider participation of workers in the organisational setup,” he said.

The meetings concluded with party leaders and workers pledging to work for unity, organisational strengthening and the welfare and development of the people in the region.

Among those present were Apni Party Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Chief Spokesperson Muntazir Mohiuddin, Provincial President Hakeekat Singh, District President Shopian Advocate Gowhar Hassan Wani, District Coordinator Nasrullah Koka and other senior party functionaries.
