Baramulla, May 04: Department of Media Studies (DMS) celebrated the World Press Freedom Day at Government Degree College Baramulla.
Senior Journalist Riyaz Masroor, Correspondent British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) based in Kashmir, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
He interacted with the students and apprised them about the importance of Press Freedom.
The session commenced with the inaugural speech of Principal Prof. F. R. Beigh.
Few in-house films were also screened during the session.
The whole event was moderated by the faculty member DMS, Akhtar Niyaz, and finally concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by senior faculty member Parvez.
