BPS hosts grandparents of its students on 25th Silver Jubilee Celebration

Baramulla, May 02: Baramulla Public School on Thursday hosted the grandparents whose grandchildren are studying in the school as the school celebrated its 25 Silver Jubilee Celebration.

While welcoming the guests, grandparents, Doha of class 3rd highlighted the importance of grandparents in the lives of children.

“We honour our grandparents by bringing them to our school showing them what their grandchildren are capable of so that they feel jubilant. Our grandparents are valuable assets; they are awesome teachers, friends, story tellers and everything for us for they give us time unconditionally,” she said.

“They don’t demand anything in return so we must give them time too when they are in old age. They need the same care in their old age so we must keep their contribution in mind,” she added.

The function started with the welcome address by anchor teacher followed Telwat Quran and Naat followed by school anthem.

The students presented various colourful items which were appreciated by everyone. The Kindergarten group presented fancy dress on various concepts and showcased the talent of students who presented various programmes on different themes.

The highlights of the programme were Islamic prayers, traditional and cultural rituals of Kashmir, Rhymes, Kashmiri Rouf, Ladishah which enthralled audience and the forced the audience to tap on their feet.

Principal of the School Ghulam Mohmmad Ganai highlighted the achievements of school and teachers. He assured the parents about quality education besides teaching of Islam would be imparted to the children in the school.
