Prof Talat inaugurates state of art labs at Bioresources Dept KU

Srinagar, April 29: Giving further impetus to research at the University of Kashmir Vice Chancellor KU Prof. Talat Ahmad inaugurated state of the art labs at Department of Bio resources on Monday.

The state of the art research labs built under centrally sponsored scheme RUSA include Animal Cell Culture Lab, Research Lab and P.G Lab.

Prof Talat also visited the Teaching and Faculty Block of the Bioresources Department. Dr Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Coordinator Department of Bioresources gave details of various Research Labs built under RUSA and also gave details of various completed and ongoing research projects in the Department.

He also appraised the Vice Chancellor about various research and academic activities going on in the Department. Dr. Manzoor presented detailed outlook of the Department and the future plans which the Department wish to achieve in the near future and in the long term.

Vice Chancellor was accompanied by Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Akbar Masood, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor Dr. Tanveer Ahmad and Executive Engineer Mufti Burhan. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the scholars and students and faculty members of the department.
