Ganderbal Apr 27: Residents of Ganderbal are up in arms against the authorities for failing to repair the Beehama-Nagabal road, which according to them is dotted with potholes.
Local residents said that the tall claims made by the authorities on a day-to-day basis about good condition of roads has fallen flat as the Beehama-Nagbal road has developed hundreds of potholes.
They said that the bad condition of the said road leads to frequent traffic jams. “During rainy days, the potholes turn into pools of water and thereby making it very difficult for the pedestrians to walk on it,” they added.
The residents alleged that authorities are turning a blind eye to the condition of the road.
When contacted Executive Engineer R&B said: “The macadamization work officially starts from May. Tenders have been flouted and in the next month, the road will be macadamized.”
