Bandipora, Apr 27:, Apr 27: A minor girl was among the two people who died Saturday morning after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident on Bandipora-Gurez road. Nine others were also injured in the accident.
Reports said that a Tata Sumo cab (JKOIF-6330) was on way from Bandipora to Gurez when the driver lost control and the vehicle slipped off the road and fell into a deep gorge near Zadikhusi Nallah.
The accident resulted in on-spot death of a 10-year-old girl Tabassum Bashir, and left 10 other passengers injured who were rushed to District Hospital Bandipora. Among the injured persons, a woman identified as Naani Begum, 55, died on way to the hospital.
Police have registered a case in this regard.
