According to the locals, the Bandipora-Srinagar road was macadamized from Aragam upto SK Payeen last year but the road between Aragam to Bandipora main town was not macadamized.

A local cab driver, Abdul majeed bhat, who ferries passengers from Bandipora to Srinagar on daily basis said: “We have to face a lot of problems due to the bad condition of Bandipora-Srinagar road. Our vehicles suffer damage to the extent that we have to repair them once every month.”

He appealed the administration to macadamize the road as soon as possible.
