Baramulla, Mar 20: A search operation was launched after militants fired at a joint party of the police and army in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday, police said.
A top police official said a search party of army and the state police was fired upon by militants in Nambalnar Kandi of Baramulla today evening.
He said the militants fled after opening fire at the forces. “The entire area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway in the area,” he said.
