Srinagar, Mar 20: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a thief involved in stealing cell phones from the attendants and patients at SKIMS, Soura in Srinagar.
An official said Aijaz Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, resident of Haigam, Sopore, presently residing at Waheedpora, Ganderbal, has confessed to the crime.
He said police have recovered 19 mobile phones and around three lakh rupees from the accused.
The official said that they were getting regular complaints of mobile thefts from people who were visiting SKIMS, Soura for treatment.
