Uri resident injured in cross-border firing dies

Srinagar, Mar 20: A civilian from Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, who was injured in cross-border shelling earlier this month, died at SKIMS, Soura in Srinagar on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Reyaz Ahmad, son of Sader Din, resident of Batar Kundi Barjala Kamalkote.

An official said that 32-year-old Reyaz succumbed to his injuries at Srinagar hospital, reported news agency GNS.

He said three other persons, who were injured in the shelling were in a stable condition.

Four civilians were injured on March 10 following cross-border firing in north Kashmir’s Uri.
