Cross-LoC firing rattles Poonch after two-day lull

Poonch, Mar 08: The armies of India and Pakistan on Friday evening exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, breaking a lull of two days.

Reports said that the two armies used small arms and mortars to target each other’s posts and villages along the LoC in Shahpur area.

SSP Poonch said a Special Police Officer (SPO) Syed Shah was wounded in the firing.

Shah was shifted to district hospital Poonch for treatment, he said.
