Shah Faesal appeals people of Jammu to maintain calm

Srinagar: Former IAS officer Shah Faesal on Friday appealed to people of Jammu to observe restraint and maintain calm.

Taking to social networking site Twitter, Shah Faesal wrote: “My sincere appeal to brothers from Jammu to maintain calm. This is not the time to call for revenge. This is not the time to fuel hatred against each other.”

“Let’s not allow our humanity to be snatched from us. Let’s stay united,” Shah Faesal wrote on Twitter.

Earlier reports and witnesses said that mobs torched and damaged dozens of vehicles during the violent protests which broke out today morning in Gujjar Nagar and Prem Nagar areas amid a shutdown called by Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry against the killing of CRPF men in Lethpora attack on Thursday.
