Anantnag: South Kashmir Civil Society (SKCS) has cautioned Governor administration for granting division status to Ladakh, per se Leh without any ground work and showing discriminatory approach towards people of Kargil, Chenab Valley and Pirpanchal Valley and even large population of Jammu South of Kathua and Samba.
“These malicious moves have the potential to trigger communal faultiness and could be dangerous if the division status to Kargil, Chenab and Pirpanchal Valleys, including South areas of Jammu is not granted immediately,” SKCS said in a statement issued here.
SKCS has also supported the genuine demands of Kargil people to open Kargil-Skardu Road and even Nubra-Baltistan besides other traditional routes besides pilgrimage routes along LoC and Working Boundary as a part of CBM within the ingredient of people-to-people contact.
