JAMMU, JANUARY 21: Poornima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, called on Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Sharma thanked Governor for conducting long pending elections to the Urban Local Bodies and informed him about the steps initiated for effective delivery of basic services which fall under the jurisdiction of the JMC and various other matters relating to the functioning of the JMC.
Emphasizing the role of Urban Local Bodies in ensuring development and delivery of basic services, Governor urged Ms. Sharma to see that people get their matters resolved within reasonable time period and stressed due focus on ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in the area under its jurisdiction.
