JAMMU, JANUARY 05:- Advisor to Governor, K K Sharma today conducted extensive tour of rural areas of Kathua district and inspected the pace of progress on upcoming mega road projects.

He was accompanied by chief engineer, R&B and senior officers of the district administration.

The projects inspected by the adviser   included 4 lane Phinter-Billawar road project being executed under CRF, Link road from Billawar to Budoo and Dingaamb-Challan road.

Inspecting the status of the projects, the Advisor directed the executing agencies and the officers to speed up the pace of work for their timely completion and subsequent benefit to the people in terms of connectivity   with other districts and state.  He stressed on regular inspection and periodical review of the progress so that bottlenecks, if any are removed and work is speeded up.

The Advisor later chaired a review meeting and directed the district administration to provide people quality basic amenities. He asked PDD department to ensure adequate supply of power to the people and start requisite exercise of up-grading the existing power infrastructre in the district.

The advisor also directed sectorial administration to reach out to the public, assess the development requirements in each area for providing quality services to the people. He also called for quality disposal of the grievances being projected by people.

Earlier enroute, several deputations met with the advisor and projected their issues He assured early redress of the same by taking them up these with the concerned departments.
