SRINAGAR, JANUARY 05:   Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today visited Gurudwara Chattipatshahi, Kathi Darwaza and reviewed the arrangements made for the devotees on Guruparab.

He visited various religious place and took on the spot review of the arrangements put in place by the administration including Police, PDD, PHE, SMC, Traffic Police and Health Departments for the convenience of thousands of devotees which are attending Akhand Path followed by Shabad Kirtan and langar.

The Divisional Commissioner asked functionaries of all the concerned departments to ensure adequate and necessary arrangements for smooth and hassle-free celebration of the religious event.

On the occasion, Gurudawara Prabhandak Committee presents a shawl to the visiting dignitary.

The Divisional Commissioner greeted devotees on the Celebration of 352nd birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Maharaj (10th Sikh Guru) or Prakash Parv (also Prakash Utsav) and wishes peace and prosperity across the valley.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Chief Engineer PDD Hashmat Qazi, Chief Engineer PHE Abdul Wahid, Director Health Services Kashmir, SSP Traffic Tahir Geelani, Joint Commissioner SMC, Sub Divisional Magistrate North, Superintendent of Police North, Representatives from Guruduwara Prabhandak Committee and other officers were accompanied with the Divisional Commissioner.
