JAMMU, JANUARY 02: Vive Chancellors of Central University Jammu, Cluster University Jammu and Former Minister, Nawang Rigzin Jora today called on the Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma here at his office chamber and put forth several development issues.

The former Minister Jora accompanied by Sarpanch head and Namberdar head of Leh submitted a memorandum of demands pertaining to creation of Irrigation and Flood Control Sub-Division and PHE Sub-Division on the pattern of Zanskar and Gurez at Khaltsi, languishing projects including completion of Zerthang bridge over river Indus at Zerthang, Khaltsi, Leh under NABARD.

The Advisor instructed the concerned SE to submit the status report of Zerthang Bridge.

Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor, Central University Jammu (CUJ), Prof Ashok Aima and Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Jammu, Prof Anu Bhasin also met the Advisor and bring issues of concerned varsities into his notice. Commissioner/Secretary, Higher Education, Sarita Chauhan and Registrar, Cluster University of Jammu, Dr Jatinder Khajuria were also present at the meeting.

Detailed deliberations were held with the VCs regarding the working and infrastructure of the said universities.

VC, Cluster University Jammu put forth issues related to road connectivity of the campus, identification of land for its extension, auditorium building and alike. She also took up the matter for maintaining heritage character of GGM Science College Jammu.

The Advisor asked the VCs that their issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for taking necessary measures.

Later, a delegation of stone crusher tipper owners from Samba and Kathua led by MLC Vikram Randhawa also met the Advisor in presence of Excise Commissioner, Talat Parvez Rohella and sought redressal of their issues.
