Udhampur: Dr Jitendra inaugurates 108 m bridge over Tawi

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 22: Union Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh today inaugurated 108 m long bridge over Tawi on the Udhampur-Ramnagar road here at Round Domail village Ritti.

District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SE PWD (R&B), Des Raj Bhagat, Executive Engineer PWD, Parshotan Kumar, Ex MLA, Ramnagar R.S Pathania, Ex- MLA,  Chenani, Dina Nath Bhagat and other district officers of concerned department, besides large number prominent citizens were present on the occasion.

The motor-able bridge with a span of 108 Mtr has been constructed at a cost of Rs 7.87 crore and   completed in a record time by the PWD (R&B) Department.

While congratulating the people of the area, Dr. Singh said that with the dedicated efforts of district administration, this bridge was completed in a record time. He said the long pending demand of the people living in the area has been fulfilled. He said that this bridge will not only provide connectivity to the general public but also help in ensuring timely transportation of ration and other essential amenities.

Dr Singh said that various initiatives have been taken by the present dispensation for the development of Udhampur district. Referring to the Holy Devika project, the Union minister said the construction work  for the same will be started very soon.
