During the meeting, the Director said that everyday performance of FCS&CA in all districts of Jammu should lead to provision of doorstep delivery of services to citizens especially located in far-flung areas of the division.

He directed all officers of the Directorate to conduct physical verification of districts in a professional manner adding that the performance of officers shall also be evaluated on the basis of quality and outcome of this all-important cross-checking annual exercise being conducted in all districts of Jammu division.

He also directed the concerned officers to ensure wide publicity regarding the shifting of Directorate to Ware House (central point of winter capital city), so that the general public does not face any inconvenience and can approach the new Divisional Headquarters for redressal of their pending issues.

During the meeting, the Director also appreciated the effort on part of Assistant Directors of few districts who have taken lead in implementing systemic changes in last few months.

Pertinently several initiatives have been taken by Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Jammu in the last few months which include shifting of the Divisional Head Office into its own state-of-the-art building located at the central point behind Asia Hotel, implementation of e-Governance based reforms, streamlining of Supply Chain Management, conduct of price fixation meetings and increasing consumer awareness through regular drives, etc.
