Jammu FCS&CA Directorate shifts to City Centre

JAMMU DECEMBER 22: Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Jammu, Amit Sharma, today chaired the monthly review meeting of all districts of Jammu Division.

The meeting was attended by all Assistant Directors of Jammu Division in the presence of Joint Director Administration Pawan Sharma, Chief Accounts Officer Rashim Deepika, Deputy Director Supplies Joginder Jasrotia, Deputy Director Food & Rationing Kulraj Singh, Deputy Director Planning Gurneet Kour, Legal Assistant Balvinder Singh, Consultant Dr Imran Khan and others.

The Director held a detailed review of all core issues including ePDS implementation, Supply Chain Management, Building Silo Godowns in all districts, increasing Aadhaar Seeding, timely implementation of reporting and charting of ration distribution and other related issues.

During the meeting, the Director said that everyday performance of FCS&CA in all districts of Jammu should lead to provision of doorstep delivery of services to citizens especially located in far-flung areas of the division.

He directed all officers of the Directorate to conduct physical verification of districts in a professional manner adding that the performance of officers shall also be evaluated on the basis of quality and outcome of this all-important cross-checking annual exercise being conducted in all districts of Jammu division.

He also directed the concerned officers to ensure wide publicity regarding the shifting of Directorate to Ware House (central point of winter capital city), so that the general public does not face any inconvenience and can approach the new Divisional Headquarters for redressal of their pending issues.

During the meeting, the Director also appreciated the effort on part of Assistant Directors of few districts who have taken lead in implementing systemic changes in last few months.

Pertinently several initiatives have been taken by Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Jammu in the last few months which include shifting of the Divisional Head Office into its own state-of-the-art building located at the central point behind Asia Hotel, implementation of e-Governance based reforms, streamlining of Supply Chain Management, conduct of price fixation meetings and increasing consumer awareness through regular drives, etc.
