Secy RDD inaugurates 2-day skill development workshop

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 29: Secretary Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Sheetal Nanda, today inaugurated a two-day orientation workshop of Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) regarding the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) here.

The orientation workshop is being held in collaboration with NABCONS, a subsidiary of NABARD.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary RDD said, “Transparency and accountability are fostered through an end-to-end implementation of Public Financial Management System as the channel for fund disbursals and audits.”

She further added that the mechanism facilitates in bringing transparency leading to better monitoring, review and decision support system to enhance public accountability in the implementation of the scheme. She added that the ultimate aim of the online systems is to ensure that funds reach to the beneficiary on time and in full without any hindrance.

The second day of the session will cover the modules of Enterprise Resource Platform (MRIGS).

Chief Operating Officer, Himayat, Kapil Sharma, representatives from NABARD and PIAs were present on the occasion.
