Srinagar, Nov 16: Militants abducted and later killed a civilian in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said Friday. A video purportedly showing the youth being killed also went viral today.
Nadeem Manzoor, a resident of Safanagri area of Shopian district of south Kashmir, was abducted by the militants on Thursday, a police official said.
He said Manzoor was later killed during the night.
“Manzoor’s bullet-riddled body was retrieved by police from Niklora Pulwama,” the official said.
“A case has been registered in this regard under relevant sections of law and investigation initiated,” said the spokesman, in a statement on Friday.
Meanwhile on Friday a video showing Manzoor being shot also went viral on social media. In the video the armed youth believed to be militants gunmen could be seen firing volley of bullets at Manzoor.
A top police officer said that they are ascertaining the authenticity of the video.
