ANANTNAG, NOVEMBER 10: A grievance redressal interactive public darbar was today organised by District Administration Anantnag at Mattan which was chaired by District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik.

A large number of people from Rampora, Hutmurah, Kharbugh, Rambirpora, Vailnagbal, Manigam, Shumhall, Khyar, Hapatnar, Nowgam-A, Nowgam-B, Siligam, Akad, Akura, Pushkeeri, Nanil, Fohar, Badigam, Paibugh and Shamsipora villages participated in the Awami Darbar. During the darbar, inhabitants of the concerned villages raised various demands and problems being faced by them. Compensation to the fruit growers who were effected due to recent snowfall, power/ water supply, construction of lanes, drains, road widening, approach roads to the villages, repairs of damaged transformers, supply on time electric bills etc.

The DDC issued instructions to the concerned officers and engineers for immediate implementation of the directions issued in the public darbar. He directed Chief Horticulture Officer, Anantnag to constitute teams for immediate assessment of the damage report of the Horticulture sector due to recent snowfall and also directed Xen PDD to ensure restoration of power by tomorrow positively in all areas of the block Mattan and Pahalgam.

The DDC assured the people that their genuine demands related to drinking water, supply of HT, LT conductor, poles and augmentation of Prakashpora water supply scheme will be made on priority.

The officers from district administration and Tehsil administration Mattan were also present in the Awami Darbar.
