November 10: The final match of T-12 Cosco Cricket Tournament, organized by Budgam Police, was played today between Chadoora XI and Valley Pride Gungbugh at District Police Lines Budgam.
DIG CKR V.K Birdi was the chief guest on the occasion.
Valley Pride Gungbugh won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 81/8 in the stipulated 12 overs. In reply Chadoora XI scored 82 for 5 wickets and emerged as winner.
Faizan of Chadoora XI was adjudged as player of the match and Bilal Nazir of Budgam Police team as adjudged Man of the Tournament.
The tournament was played on the Knockout basis and 102 teams participated in the tournament.
While speaking on the occasion, DIG CKR V.K Birdi asserted that in order to inculcate sports culture among the youth, such tournaments will be organized in future as well. He also congratulated Budgam Police for organizing the tournament.
