Sangam Sports defeats KCC Mattan by 3 wickets

Anantnag, Sep 29: In the ongoing Mirza Ghalib T20 Cricket tournament being played at Government Degree College Boys Annatnag, Sangam Sports tussled with KCC Mattan and defeated them by 3 wickets on Saturday here.

After winning the toss, KCC opted to bat first as they were bundled out for 131 runs by Sangam Sports.

Hilal Ahmad of KCC Sports scored 22 runs, while as Shahid 19 Runs and Jeelani 17 runs and thereby helping their team to set a target of 132 runs.

Chasing the target of 132 runs, Sangam Sports chased the target in the final over of match.

KCC Mattan gave their hundred percent to hold the Sangam Sports from chasing the target, but the brilliant knock of 44 runs by Idrees Ahmad helped Sangam Sports to achieve the target easily.

Wickets of Sangam Sports were continuously falling down, but in the slog overs batsmen of Sangam sports managed to stay at the ground and overpowered their opponents in the game.

In addition to Idrees, Tawseef of Sangam Sports scored, much needed, 17 runs for his team.

Idrees Ahmad was awarded Man of the match for his brilliant batting.
