BARAMULLA, SEPTEMBER 27: In connection with the celebration of National Nutrition month being celebrated throughout the country, an awareness camp was today organized at Gujjar and Bakerwal hostel Baramulla with Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohammed Abdullah as the chief guest.

The programme was organized by the Department of Tribal Affairs which marked the participation of hostel inmates, civil society members, teachers and others concerned. District Information Officer Ch Mudasir Hussain, District Social Welfare Officer Syed Showket Ahmad, Warden Gujjer and Bakerwal Hostal and various other officers were present and spoke about the topic.

On the occasion, a debate on the topic was held in which various students participated. They highlighted the importance of proper Nutrition on the physical and mental development, especially on children.

ACR, during his address, hailed the concerned for organizing the awareness camp adding that it will help in generating awareness regarding the benefits of proper nutrition. He said that the month is being celebrated throughout the country to address the malnutrition and stunted growth in children.
