DDC Kupwara reviews power scenario under TAD scheme

KUPWARA, AUGUST 01: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today convened a meeting of officers to review the progress of various schemes and programmes in power sector under Centrally Sponsored “Transformation of Aspirational District” scheme.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Executive Engineer PDD Kupwara and Handwara divisions, and other concerned.

District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir urged the concerned to mobilize all resources for ensuring achievement of targeted saturation of schemes like Saubhagya, Ujjala, Ujwala etc. under Extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan in all the 222 Villages across 11 Blocks of the district.

THE PDD authorities raised many issues related to implementation and execution of the schemes at the ground level. DDC issued on spot directions for their redressal so that every household in all 222 villages under Saubhagya are electrified and connected to the grid.

DDC while reviewing the performance of UJALA (Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All) Scheme under EGSA suggested the need for organizing camps for distribution of LEDs to registered households in all the 222 identified villages for better and timely saturation.
