Srinagar: Police has arrested four gamblers and recovered Rs. 12,400 stake money from the gambling site.
A police spokesman in a statement said that acting on a specific information, Police Station Nowhatta raided a gambling site at Malkha and arrested four gamblers. Stake money of Rs 12,400 and gambling cards were recovered from the gambling spot.
In this connection, a case FIR No 39/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation taken up.
This is in continuation to the efforts of Srinagar police to curb the social crimes which are highly applauded by the general public, said the statement.
