South Kashmir: Truck driver killed in mishap

Srinagar, Jul 21: At least nine people, including five women, were injured in a road mishap on Saturday in Boohu area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

An official said a truck (JK02AA-1625) collided with a light passenger vehicle (JK03C-8378), resulting in injuries to nine passengers.

The injured have been identified as Parvez Ahmad Sheikh, Shaheena of Baghat-e-Kanipora, Khursheed Ahmad Malla of Jawbehra, Rafiqa Begum, Dilshada, Hajra Begum of Charsoo Awantipora, Mohammad Akram Chopan of Tral, Sara Begum of Chandhara Pampore and Abdul Rashid Wani of Ladoo Pampore.

They have been shifted to PHC Awantipora for treatment. A doctor at the hospital informed that the injured are stable and are undergoing the treatment.
