Comm Secy Forests reviews status of Audit & Inspection Reports

SRINAGAR, JULY 19: Commissioner Secretary Forest, Environment & Ecology, Saurabh Bhagat, Thursday chaired a meeting to review the status of Observation Book (OB) items and Audit Paras in the Audit & Inspection Reports (AIRs) received from the Accountant General Office and the Directorate of Audit & Inspections J&K.

CAG paras and reconciliation of expenditure and revenue for the year 2017-18 were also discussed in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by PCCF/Chief Wildlife Warden J&K, Managing Director J&K State Forest Corporation, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests J&K, Project Director IWDP J&K, Director Environment, Ecology & Remote Sensing J&K, Director Social Forestry J&K, Director Soil & Water Conservation J&K, Director Forest Protection Force J&K, Director State Forest Research Institute J&K, Director Finance Forest Department J&K, and Chief Accounts Officer SPCB J&K.

The Commissioner Secretary impressed upon the HODs to clear the outstanding OB items and Audit Paras on priority. He also asked the HODs to arrange an Audit committee meeting with the AG Office in order to settle the outstanding Audit Paras.

It was said the HODs and DDOs will continuously liaise with AG Office to immediately settle the outstanding issues.
