Pinjura lions defeat Kings Manloo, enter finals

Shopian, 18 July: In the semi final of Cricket tournament at Batpora Sports stadium, Shopian Kings Manloo faced Pinjura Lions on Wednesday and the competition was won by Pinjura Lions by 81 runs.

The tournament is being organized by District cricket forum under the patronage of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).

After winning the toss and Pinjura Lions elected to bat first and managed to set a mammoth target of 241 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 35 overs.

Amir Khan and Saleem Mir who scored 56 runs and 51 runs respectively helped their team Pinjura Lions to set a huge target of 241 runs for Shopian Kings Manloo.

While chasing the target of 241 runs, Kings Manloo managed to score 160 runs at the loss of all wickets.

Javiad Ganie of Kings Manloo scored 63 runs but it was not enough for his team to win the match.

At one point it seemed that Kings Manloo could easily win the match, but the best piece of bowling from Shahnawaz Ahmad from Pinjura lions who took 4 wickets lead his team to victory.

Shahnawaz Ahmad who scored 28 runs and took 4 wickets was given man of the match award.
