Young Hockey Club Anantnag defeats Shopian Hockey Club by 3 goals

Anantnag, 17 July: In the ongoing Anantnag Hockey League, Shopian Hockey Club faced Young Hockey Club Anantnag at Government Degree College Boys Anantnag here.

The tournament is being organized by Young Hockey club Anantnag and Sponsored by State Sports Council under the patronage of Jammu and Kashmir Hockey Association (JKHA).

In the first half of competition, the game was fully dominated by Shopian hockey club by keeping the opposite rivals away from scoring any circle, but in the 23rd minute of first half a nice shot from backer of young hockey club Anantnag gave them a chance to score a goal.

Soon after the goal, Shopian Hockey club equalized the score by hitting a goal in the first half of game.

In the second half, the Young Hockey Club Anantnag took control of the game and took their lead to three goals in 21th minute, 37th min and 55th minute, netted by Faheem Ahmad, Suhaib and Sameer Ahmad, thereby taking their team to Victory and defeated Shopian Hockey Club by 3 Goals.

Shopian Hockey Club scored only one goal in the first half which was hit by Imtiyaz Ahmad, while as Young Hockey Club Anantnag scored 4 goals.
