Dr Sehrish was informed that media persons of the area were facing problems due to the absence of press club as they do not have a permanent place to work.

They demanded that until press club is established, Budgam administration should provide them a temporary space where they could meet and discuss issues.

The BWJF also urged Dr Sehrish to take steps for ensuring the safety of journalists while performing their professional duties.

While giving patient hearing, Dr Sehrish assured the journalists body that all their  genuine demands would be met.

The BWJF representatives comprised of President Sheikh Tariq (DD News), Vice President Samiullah Magray (News 18 Urdu), General Secretary Mohammad Ashraf (Gulistan), Spokesperson Abid Hussain (Kashmir Images) and Manzoor Ahmad (Rising Kashmir).
