Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing, is well said, by Mother Teresa. The miraculous effect that a smile has on others is well-known.  Our Prophet Mohammad (saw) was known to carry a pleasant smiling face. In fact, it became a part of our Prophet’s character. The people who socialized with Muhammad (saw) recognized this characteristic in him. This was how our Prophet (saw), gained the affection of people, and this made them more ready to believe in his teachings that Prophet proclaimed.

The world is full of sorrows, tragedies, and many more reasons to brood and be upset about, but then there is only one thing that can bring in some hope. Yes that is the power of a smile. A bright smile is the most natural and most powerful gift God has gifted us. We should observe what happens when someone smiles? Have you ever seen a new born baby smiling? This is the most beautiful thing one may have experienced. Baby starts smiling from a mother’s womb. In fact human beings first facial expression is a smile.

Smiling has a great power. No matter how we are feeling or what’s going on in our life we should close our eyes and smile. Even when we have/had a terrible day or things aren’t going the way we want them to, a simple smile, even from someone whom we may not know, can actually make our day better. My son’s good smile relieves me from all my worries and tensions and boosts me with energy to do something new in life. Yes, that is the power of smiling which gives us lots of positivity in our life. Especially when it comes from little children! Let’s boost not only our own but the children around us and give them a reason to smile. Our children have the most sincere and innocent smiles. They strike our chords immediately.

The power of a smile is definitely beyond any words! A smile can easily travel many miles. No matter what we are doing and where we are employed, seeking a job, retired from service or looking for new horizons in life, starting the day, with a smile is certainly more rewarding. Just a smile a day can keep us young and healthy forever and that is what doctors, researchers and psychologists have reached to conclusions. If we will carry a smile on entering a room or meeting someone, we will have a great first impression. We will spread this positive aura and people other side may even take special note of our pleasant approach and remember us in future exchanges. When we smile at someone we are automatically connected to that person, even when not a single word has been uttered.  If we are short of words smile can play a big role to continue a conversation. Smiling is a key ingredient to make our friendships and relationships healthy. When we smile at someone, we are telling them that we truly value them. Many researchers have found that smiling really does increase attractiveness and likability between humans. It creates a greater sense of trust and increased interpersonal cooperation.  Smiling at someone can help them to relax and relieve their stress while at the same time; it will make us feel right. Have you observed that even a small help by you to a needy makes him smile but equally there is no limits to your inner and utmost satisfaction. Smiles are moral boosters and confidence builders.

Whether it is our day to day affairs, our business meetings or a job interview or a presentation, smile is a secret weapon to success! We must always greet people with a smile, if it is our meet with them for the first and the last time. A smile is absolutely essential. The power of a smile tells humanity we are all brothers and sisters. When we smile our face automatically brightens up.  If we don’t give positive and smiley response to people around us, no one is going to like us not even our loved ones. So, the best thing we can do in all the good and hard days is just smile. So, smile and smile often. Let’s value small and big, rich and needy, and dejected ones around us and attempt to make them happy. Let’s smile at our own self, and smile at our loved ones. But we must not forget to pass a smile at others who are not known to us. When we share our smile with everyone, the same time we will get it back. A smile can produce a huge impact in this society.  The next time someone is feeling sad, scared, and nervous, or whatever it may be, smile with them and we will notice a big difference. The holy month of Ramadhan Kareem is about to go but the teachings have to be translated into action. The food for thought is keep smiling and spread love. Smile at the world around you and the world will smile back at you. Wish you a happy Eid-u-Fitr and Keep SmilingJJJ
