Srinagar June 15: Terming the gruesome killing of veteran journalist and Chief Editor of The Rising Kashmir, Shujaat Bukhari, as ‘mindless, cowardly and shameful act’, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir strongly condemned the incident and emphasized the Government to ascertain the identity of the attackers immediately.
Mir has offered condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to Bukhari, adding that, “I am pained and shocked to hear about this unfortunate news of assassination of Senior Journalist and I have no words to express my grief,” Mir added and expressed solidarity with the family of Bukhari and his friends and relatives.
Mir also led a high level delegation to Kreeri Pattan (Baramulla) and participated in the funeral prayers of the slain journalist. The delegation offered deepest condolences to bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to departed soul.
