Al-Quds and the Concern of Muslims

Al-Quds is a serious concern for Muslim Ummah and it is an established fact, in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah, that if a nation is illegally occupied and oppressed, its lands and resources grabbed by force, then it becomes an obligation for the Muslims to help the oppressed as far as possible and raise voice against the tyrant occupying force.
Al-Aqsa mosque, the foundation of which was laid by Prophet Sulaiman (A.S), was ‘Qibla-e –Aw’wal’ of Muslims, who used to face towards al-Aqsa Mosque for prayers until the last Prophet (AS) directed Muslims to face Ka’aba. It is the same place from where Prophet Mohammad (AS) left for Me’raj (ascended to the heavens).
Al-Aqsa mosque, known as Baitul Muq’qadaus or Al-Quds, therefore attained a very exalted position for Muslims world over. Today, it is continuously besieged by tyrant Israeli Zionist regime which has been carrying out genocide of the Muslim population there for the past seventy years now.
The above facts emphasize upon all Muslims to stand united and strive for liberation of Al-Quds from the illegal occupation of Zionist Israel; the illegitimate state created illegally by colonial Britain in 1948 after a portion of land was snatched from Palestinians by an intrigue whereupon the Jews from various parts of the world were made to settle here. This was occupation in the garb of temporary settlement and gradually the other parts of land belonging to Palestinian were also grabbed by coordinated plots including military operations conducted by the help of US and Britain.
In spite of the fact that the UNO has on a number of occasions, through its resolutions, tried to restrict Israeli regime from illegal settlement activities in occupied territories but the huge construction projects on the West Bank have been in progress for many years now.
After Camp David agreement, neighbouring Egypt never ever objected to the settlement activities of Israel. People of Palestine in general and particularly the people of Gaza Strip continuously crumble under hardships as Gaza has turned to be a prison; devoid of any condition for living. Amidst shameful silence of Arab monarchies and dictatorships, Islamic Republic of Iran is the only country that has always upheld the cause of Palestine in all regional and international forums and rendered moral, diplomatic, and humanitarian support to the Palestinian people. The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has intensified the “Intifada” for many years now and it is only the Islamic Republic of Iran that stands firm in their support.
The ISIS project which was eventually meant to divide the Middle East to weaken the resistance axis and in turn make Israel completely secure and most powerful entity in the Middle East has breathed its last in Iraq and Syria by the great and unparallel efforts by the resistance axis (Syria, Iran, Hezbollah and Russia); though at a huge material and humanitarian cost. The post ISIS scenario has sent shock waves to Israeli security establishment; putting her in extreme security risk for the Iranian backed resistance forces have cordoned Israel from Golan Heights to South Lebanon now. To recoup from its failures, Israel and America have entered into a new phase of an encounter with resistance Axis. Unilateral Pull out of US from JCPO and relocating its embassy to Qods on the Naqbah Day coupled with the Saudi Arabia’s open efforts towards polarization of Ummah into Shi’a and Sunni camps upon the issues of Syria, Iraq, Bahrain, and Yemen; besides open support for Zionist regime against Iran means on one side to push Palestinians to wall and make them accept any disgusting deal to forget their right to live with dignity and give up any claim on al-Quds. The deal shall be openly supported by Arabs; particularly by Saudis that need Israel’s support to save their monarchy.
Muslims all over the world need to realize that they are one Ummah. Quran and Sunnah have laid clear emphasis on Muslim unity; based upon the fundamental principles of belief inTawheed (Oneness of Allah), Nabbuw’wah (Prophethood) Aakhirah(Resurrection) Qibla and Quran. The model of Islamic State established by Holy Prophet(s.a.w.w) established in medina shall always serve a guide to establish Khilafah(Caliphate) for there is no space for Malukiat(Monarchy) in Islam; indeed a root cause of the sufferings of Ummah. In every Muslim country, Muslims ought to strive for the establishment of an Islamic caliphate on the basis of Quran and Sunnah, determined by the principles of Ijtihaad. Today, Iran is the only country where the establishment of the Islamic rule from 1979 is a success story; resisting every plot of arrogant powers and their stooges. Other Muslims nations should not turn hostile towards her but should seek guidance in their endeavors in establishing an Islamic Government in their respective countries.
The leader of the Islamic revolution and the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (r.a) had instructed Muslims to celebrate the last Friday of Ramadan as Yom-e-Quds (al-Quds day) which is commemorated world over by Muslims to whatever school of thought they belong to. It can prove to be as a powerful deterrent against American hegemony and Zionist designs for engulfing the whole Palestine including al-Quds.
