Iftar party organised by Army’s Dagger Division in Baramulla

Baramulla: Dagger Artillery Brigade on behalf of the Dagger Division organised Iftar party for the people of Baramulla and it’s adjoining areas.

Dignitaries and ordinary people of various places in and around Baramulla were invited. The attendees included  MLA Baramulla Javid Hassan Beigh, MLA Gulmarg Mohmmad Abbas Wani, DC Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash, DIG JKP  North Kashmir Range, SK Gupta, Imtiyaz Hussain, SSP Baramulla, CMO Baramulla and all the  prominent citizens of Baramulla.

A large gathering of approximate 200 guests opened their Roza with dates and fruits and offered Namaz followed by dinner. The GOC Dagger Division interacted with the participants and had lftar dinner with them.

During his interaction he expressed his love and concern for the people of Baramulla. He later presented a shawl to the Imam and hoped for peace and prosperity to prevail in the town.

“This Iftar function goes a long way in maintaining cordial relations with locals and exhibiting Army’s secular credentials and solidarity with the Awam of Baramulla,” a defense spokesman said in a statement issued here.
