PCC defeats Manloo 11 in finals

Shopian,26 May: PCC paradise Cricket Club Shopian today emerged as winners after defeating Manloo 11 by 27 runs in finals of Valley cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium Batapora of Shopian District.

PCC won the toss and decided to bat first and setting the total of 143 in allotted 20 Overs for Manloo 11.

While chasing the target of 143 Manloo 11 were bundled out for 115 Runs in 16.3 overs thereby loosing finals with PCC, Wasim With 19 Runs was the highest scorer for Manloo 11.

Mohsin Ahmad of PCC was awarded Man of the match trophy for his brilliant unbeaten knock of 60 Runs in 33 balls hitting 8 fours and 3 sixes and bagging 4 Wickets in finals.

While as Batsman of the tournament was awarded to Nadeem khan for his aggregate runs of 145 in the tournament and bowler of the tournament was awarded to Suhail Wani for his brilliant bowling and 12 Wickets in the tournament.

Pertinently in the semi final PCC defeated Shopian Rockers by 2 wickets while chasing score of 169 where Basit hits 60 Runs and took his team for finals.

In the second semifinals Manloo 11 defeated Pinjura lions by 35 runs after setting a target of 143 in return Pinjura lions were bowled out on 108 runs after a brilliant bowling by Kalerm Ahmad who took 5 wickets.

Winners of the tournament were given 12000 Rs and Runner team team as 6000 Rs and trophies were awarded to both the teams.

On this occasion the chief guests included State sports council manager shopian Raja Waheed state sports council manager pulwama Bashir Ahmad Bhat, state sports council ground in-charge Shopian Gh Rasool Khanday and social welfare officer Kaisar Ahmad distributed trophies among both the teams.
