Najam Sethi rejects demand for Inzamam’s removal

LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Najam Sethi said that he cannot remove chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq on some former cricketers’ demand.

While talking to media here on Friday, the PCB chairman said that some former cricketers, who criticize the board, were once the selectors themselves.

He said that the Pakistan team may face difficulties in England due to weather conditions there.

Najam Sethi said that Pakistan are currently number one team in Twenty20 International cricket. They had topped also in Test and One-day International cricket last year.

He further said that the PCB is considering to make changes in the structure of domestic cricket and it has held a few meetings in this regard.

The PCB chairman also said that regions groom a number of cricketers but banks took them away by offering huge money. Now the board will invest money on first class cricketers.
