DeM activists detained on way to Pulwama

Srinagar, Apr 08: Seven activists of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) were detained by the police in Pinglan area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district when they tried to visit the family of slain militant Mussavir Wani on Sunday.

Reports said that seven DeM members were on their way to Wani’s residence to express condolences with the bereaved family.

Mussavir was killed by security forces in a gunfight on Friday.

A police official said the DeM activists were lodged in women police station at Srinagar after their detention.
