Establish a progressive society: CM to youth

Jammu, Mar 09: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has asked the youth to work toward establishing a progressive society and help put the state in the fast-track development, growth and progress.

Speaking to a delegation of youth here yesterday, according to an official press release, the Chief Minister said they held a promise for the state in terms of forging new bonds of amity, equality and brotherhood.

She said the younger generation was better equipped to defeat negative perceptions about regions, communities and groups which, she said, were based on ignorance, lack of information and education.

Mufti asked the youth to rise above the distinctions of caste, creed, colour and region, and work for the development of the state. She appealed to them to work together to maintain peace and communal harmony.
