Dir Info delivers lecture on ‘Rural Reporting’ at CU Jammu

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 23: Director Information and Public Relations, Muneer-ul-Islam delivered a lecture on “Building Public Opinion, Persuading and Circulation of Government Policies” at Central University Jammu as a part of 7-Day Faculty Development Programme on Rural Reporting.

The programme is being organized by Department of Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu sponsored by National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI) Hyderabad in collaboration with National Service Scheme.

The Programme will continue from 23rd February to 1st March 2018 in which faculty members from different universities across the country will participate.

The Director discussed various media issues including issues and challenges related to the news reporting, building public opinion, and persuading and circulation of the government policies and various other subjects.

He also interacted with participants during question-answer session and answered various questions raised by them regarding information dissemination by media.

JNU Prof. Kaushal Kumar Sharma, Head of the Department MCNM, Central University Jammu Dr Govind Singh, Former Head AD-PR IIMC Dr. JaishroJethwaney, Director EMRC, IIT Roorkee Rajkumar Bhardwaj, Head of School fo Journalism and Mass Communication and New Media CUK Himachal Pradesh Dr. PardeepNair, Indian journalist, author, radio storyteller, scriptwriter and lyricist NeeleshMisra and various other experts will also deliver lectures during the programme.
